Administrative Team Leader

Reports to: Supervisor                                   

Location: 26thStreet

Classification: Grade 14/Full-time/(Union)       

Bureau: Administrative Services Bureau

Deadline Date: September 13, 2019                                                               

Primary Function: Provide administrative support for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Br. 66/Grand Jury Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare information and Indictments
  • Proofread and sort documents
  • Date stamp documents
  • Distribute case files evenly among employees on a daily basis
  • Research criminal backgrounds in I-Clear for accurate arrest information
  • Prepare blue backs
  • Trouble shoot various problems that may arise within Br. 66/Grand Jury
  • Assist with providing training to members of the unit
  • Assist Unit supervisor when needed
  • Must be knowledgeable of the 1961 Criminal Code of ILCS
  • Must be knowledgeable of AOIC Code and class orders 
  • Must be knowledgeable of the Preliminary Hearing/Grand Jury Business Rules 
  • Must be able to manage high volume of work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Interacts regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office Employees
  • Interacts with the public
  • Interacts with various outside agencies
  • Regular access to confidential information

 

Qualifications: The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and be able to perform duties in high pressure situations.  The candidate must be very detailed oriented.  Proficiency in CRIMES required.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word applications, Clerks, and I-Clear preferred. Typing speed of 50+ wpm preferred.
