LEADS Operator I

Reports to: Office Manager/Supervisor              

Location: 2650 S. California

Classification: Grade 11/Full-time/Union                

Bureau: Administrative Services Bureau

Deadline Date: September 13, 2019   


6:00 am - 2:00 pm: Friday through Tuesday 

Off: Wednesday/Thursday

Primary Function:  Conduct criminal background checks using several Law Enforcement Database Agency Systems (LEADS) for central bond court.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter information into LEADS database system
  • Access information from LEADS database system and identify case specific data
  • Proofread documents
  • Generate and compare data from state, federal and city RAP sheets
  • Make copies
  • File all necessary paperwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Interacts regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office Employees
  • Regular access to confidential information
  • Interacts with outside agencies

Qualifications:  The candidate must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.  The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications required.  Knowledge of LEADS System and CRIMES preferred.  Typing speed of 50 + wpm preferred.  This unit operates 7 days per week, 365 a year.
