Primary Function:  Requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation and continued development on multiple data solutions both new and existing.  Coordinating solutions and support across multiple business units within the State’s Attorney’s Office.  Engage with business units and Chief Data Officer to provide data extracts and reporting.  Engage with partner agencies to establish and execute data interchange processes. Utilize SDLC best practice to establish complete approach to solutions management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume development and maintenance responsibilities for existing database solution inventory
  • Develop management plan for existing and new database solutions
  • Work with DBA team for cross-coverage and collaborative development efforts
  • Understand operational and procedural constraints regulating data storage and processing, and user interaction with provided solutions
  • Work with MIS team to communicate project requirements and establish reasonable maintenance cycles for applications
  • Update and adapt existing solutions to conform with evolving regulatory requirements
  • Work with MIS team to develop and deliver effective documentation regarding all implemented solutions
  • Travel to the State’s Attorney’s offices various work sites when necessary
  • Develop and manage complex project implementation plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Interacts with State’s Attorney’s Office employees on a daily basis
  • Interacts with external agencies on a daily basis
  • Regular access to confidential information

Qualifications:  The candidate must have excellent communication skills both oral and written, along with having the ability to multi-task and work in a complex and highly-regulated environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum 3 years’ experience in database design and management,  a minimum  3 years’ experience with Microsoft database environments – SQL, Access, etc., and a minimum 3 years’ experience with implementation of RDBMs in multiple environments – web applications, Microsoft productivity application integration, SOA data exchange, etc.…Experience with RDBM solutions in the cloud – AWS, Azure, etc.… - a plus.  Knowledge of multiple RDBM platforms required.  Knowledge of secure development best practices required.
